1 Conduct transparent and merit-based examinations for recruitment to various posts under the Government of India.
2. Ensure smooth and timely completion of the recruitment cycle-notification, application, examination, evaluation, result publication, and document verification
3. Promote digital governance by adopting modern tools, technology, and automation for efficiency,
4. Enhance accessibility for candidates across remote and rural parts of the North Eastern Region.
5. Maintain integrity and confidentiality in all examination and evaluation processes.
6. Strengthen communication channels through clear, accurate, and timely dissemination of information.
7. Improve candidate services including help centres, grievance redressal. FAQs, and application support.
8. Ensure collaboration with examination centres, state authorities, and stakeholders for smooth conduct of exams.
9. Build capacity through training, infrastructure development, and staff skill enhancement.
10. Promote inclusivity for persons with disabilities, and candidates from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.



INTRODUCTION
The main responsibility of the Staff Selection Commission is to make recruitment to Group C (non-technical) & Group B (non-gazetted- both technical & non-technical) posts in departments of Government of India, its attached & subordinate offices except those for which recruitment is made by the Railway Recruitment Boards & Industrial Establishments.
The Staff Selection Commission is also assigned the task of conducting Departmental Examinations for
