History

The Staff Selection Commission. North Eastern Region (SSC NER), was established on July 1, 1976 as one of the regional offices of the Staff Selection Commission to cater to the recruitment needs of the North Eastern states of India.
Over the years, SSC NER has steadily expanded its operational capabilities, examination activities, and candidate support services.
With increased exam load, digital reforms, and growing candidate participation from Assam. Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura. SSC NER continues to evolve as an important administrative and examination centre of the SSC, ensuring smooth conduct of recruitment processes in the region.
